Widget & Project Templates
Gary Gaspar
We are considering the following feature:
Feature Overview
Let users create reusable
project templates
in Marker.io.Templates would include common settings like:
- Widget color and placement
- Feedback status options
- Option to turn off feedback comments
- Default assignee based on issue type
- Extra issue types and required fields
- Notification settings
- Member/guest form preferences
- Issue types
Use Case
- A lot of users set up many similar projects.
- Right now, they have to redo the same settings over and over.
- Templates would save time and help avoid small setup mistakes.
Additional Notes
- Some users also asked to clone entire projects, with or without feedback settings.
- This would give even more flexibility for teams who work on lots of projects at once.

Wasted time - We are rolling out marker.io to 30 customers and will have to manually set up each time, making it a significant task. It would be great to have a template go-to set up, such as our default button colour, ticket options, etc.

Same here.
In every project, we need the Assignee field at the top of the active fields. When creating a new project, I have to go through every form, both guest and member, pull up the fields and press save. It's pretty annoying.
A template for new projects would be very helpful.

I love this idea. We onboarded last week and already have 6 Projects created. Each one I created I had to go in and set Guest and Member forms to either include, or not include specific (Teamwork) Project>List>Task>Assignee>Tags, and also create new Issue types. Not sure how it would work considering the top level project would change each time, but this would be a game changer for my agency.

I was surprised this doesn't exist yet. We really need this :)

Yes, same with the member / guest form settings. I use the monday.com integration which lets me add additional fields, but I have to add them for each project which takes up time. It would be a lot better if I could set to enable certain form fields by default for all projects.

Obviously certain project details wouldn't be copied or included in a Template. But almost every project we have set up in the short time we have been using Marker.io is almost identical and we are spending a lot of time creating new Projects with nearly identical settings.

Agree with Gary, having the ability to use templates would be a huge time saver for my team.

This is a much needed Feature!

A first step would be to duplicate a project without feedback.

Agree, this would definitely be a helpful time saver!
